Phillip Island - After a delayed several hours due to bad weather, the opening MotoGP free practice session in Australia eventually held. On a wet track Jorge Lorenzo emerged as the fastest ahead of Casey Stoner.
In the first free practice session that was held in Sirkuti Phillip Island on Friday (10/15/2010) afternoon local time, the world champion this year after a record lead of 1 minute 41.146 seconds. While there is Stoner in second place 0.334 seconds slower.
Nicky Hayden managed to continue the brilliant performances in qualifying Malaysian MotoGP after recording the third best time with 1 minute 41.631 seconds. Completing the top five positions duo Honda Gresini, Marco Simoncelli and Marco Melandri.
Andrea Dovizioso sixth fastest with a record time of 1 minute 42.271 seconds followed behind Fiat Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi. Meanwhile, Dani Pedrosa, who had just returned after missing the last race which is on the order of 16 after only can record 1 minute 51.210 seconds.
